Tutorial: The 'Grace Kelly' scarf

Hello again my lovelies!
I'm back with another scarf tutorial, I guess I must be on a roll. This has been requested by one of my viewers on Youtube, and here it is!
It's a very simple look, and I hope you enjoy it.

The braidy bun

Today I tried something different with my hair. It's usually either in a high bun or loose, but I saw a hair tutorial yesterday and I thought I'd give it a go.
It was really quick and easy, but unfortunately the bun part collapsed after like 5 minutes. I suspect my lack of skills with the bobby pins *might* have played a part.
As with most things, I suppose practice makes perfect and I might actually pull it off one day.
Here's the link to the tutorial, it has both pictures and a video, and it's from this really cool lady Natalia. Her blog is full of tutorials. I found it through Pinterest and I spent hours going through them!

Tutorial: how to make a turban with a square scarf

In this video I show you how to recreate a turban from a square scarf, as seen on the Hermès folding cards.

Okay so the picture and video pretty much say it all, so I hope you enjoy and feel free to leave a comment!
Here's the close up picture of the folding card, both sides, as promised.

TAG: How much is my face worth?

I'm doing my first ever beauty tag, because I'm lazy and I haven't posted anything in ages.
I feel like the name of this tag is misleading. Because one, my face is priceless, duh. And two, you don't actually use the whole bottle/pan of product in your daily makeup routine. At least I don't. But it would be too much of a pain in the ass to calculate price per use, so here we go.
Basically what you do is you do your makeup like you normally would, and then you round up all the products you used, look up the prices, add them up and stare at the horrifyingly high amount of money you spend on your makeup.

Here's all the stuff I put on my face yesterday for date night:
L'Oréal primer 18,90 €
Bobbi Brown creamy concealer 26 €
Burberry eyeshadow in taupe brown (for my brows) 28 €
Mac eyeshadow in Sable (pan form) 13 €
Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner 23 €
Armani master corrector 36,50 €
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat 31 €
Guerlain blush 40,50€
Chanel highlighter 56,50 €
Mac lip pencil in Cherry 14 €
Mac lipstick in Ruby Woo 18 €
I'm really afraid of the result, I know it's gonna be scary.
And the total is... 305,4 €.
Wow I'm actually floored. I knew it would be way too high, but I was thinking around 200, max. Oh well what's done is done, all I can do now is enjoy all this awesome stuff and use it.
Usually I use foundation or tinted moisturizer, too, which would put the total at even higher. But last night I tried this L'Oréal primer for the first time and it looked so good I didn't feel like I needed foundation. See for yourselves, a picture with no Instagram filters or effects:

Coming soon: a review for the L'Oréal primer I mentioned. If you see anything else in that list of products that you would like me to review, just tell me!
Since this is a tag, I should probably tag some people. I only have one beauty blogger friend, so I'm tagging Michaela from Lather Rinse Repeat . Michaela, you're up! If someone else is reading this (haha doubtful) and you wanna give it a go, you can tell me in the comments how much your beauty tally is!

Currently Craving: Paris Wishlist Edition

I'm going to Paris in a little over two weeks (woohooo), and Paris always rhymes with shopping, as far as I'm concerned. Even when times are a bit tough, I try to bring something back with me, even if it's just a lipstick from the duty free. Otherwise I feel like I didn't go. But that's for me to discuss with my shrink.

Also on the list of things to discuss with my shrink

Anyway, I have quite the shopping list for this particular trip, because I haven't been to Paris since early July, which for me is starting to be way too long. That's what she said.

             --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Clarisonic Mia

I've been dancing around for months, hesitating on this purchase. But a recent breakout on my skin has encouraged me to reconsider. And then I was browsing the sephora.fr website and saw that they now sell it in France, which sealed the deal for me. This is a pricey purchase at 149 euros, however I've spent that on worse, so whatevs. The only thing that bums me out is that it doesn't look like it's available in different colours, in France. So I might end up with a boring old white Clarisonic.

Boo, you whore
             --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Burberry Sheer Summer Glow

I know I already have 4 highlighters, and it's not summer anymore, but I DO WHAT I WANT!!!

I just really love highlighters, especially when they're well executed, ie not disco-ball glittery. And I've heard only good things about this particular one, so I do plan on snatching it up if I see it.

              -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Guerlain Rouge G Le Brillant in B60, Beatrix

I know they're too expensive, stop judging me. YOU'RE NOT MY MOM!! And if you are, MOM STOP READING MY BLOG!!!
My first instinct was to spell the name of this shade "Bellatrix", which wouldn't bode well for me, as Ms Lestrange isn't exactly my beauty idol.

ERMAHGERD!!! LERPSTERCK!!

              -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. NARS Eyelash Curler

I've been using my Shu Uemura eyelash curlers for two years now, and they're on their last leg. They'd come with one extra pad to change, and now it's old and doesn't work as well. Also, I've read that Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are more adapted to a flatter, more Asian shaped lash line, whereas this NARS one would work better for my eye shape. I will report back if I manage to find it!

           --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. MAC Constructivist Paint Pot

I really love my paint pots. I never ever use eyeshadow primers, I only use these. They pull double duty, they make your eyeshadow last longer AND they give colour. Plus, for someone who is as bad as I am with eyeshadow, they make creating a smokey eye really easy.

           ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Converse Chuck Taylors

I wear these everyday. My job involves a tonne of standing and walking, and my favourite black ones just gave out a couple weeks ago. No, serioursly, they cracked. So I guess it's time for some new Chucks. Fuck yeah Chucks!!

Ok now I realise this kind of post isn't the most productive. The only things it might accomplish is show you that I spend a stupid amount of money on beauty supplies, and make you want to buy stuff as well.
Also, I use a lot of cool gifs.
